Finally, I have had time to upload some of our new children’s products – just in time for the upcoming summer weather (although you wouldn’t realise summer is around the corner today – gail force winds, heater on etc!).

These Liberty of London frilled pantaloons are great for newborns to toddlers, as they are comfortable and easy to care for. They are full length in the leg with the frill, as well as French seams on front and back seams for extra durability. Made from 100% cotton. They are elastic waist and legs for easy use. This beautiful ‘Liberty of London’ pinafore with square neckline, features a yoke and two decorative buttons at the back. There is a generous, full body dress – which would be perfect over tights or leggings, for special occasions. click here for more.

Just popped over to Liberty (I wish I could quite literally, alas will have to do with liberty online). Check out these great new accessories – our Wiltshire print is everywhere these days!Fabulous belt – love the mix of such contrasting materials.

Gorgeous ring, however the 3800 (pounds) price tag is not all that attractive!

Sorry for the sparse blogs, we’ve been so busy organising everything for the launch of the online store. The weekend was spent sewing and taking photos, and here are just a few. This weekend, will again be the same. I’m also hosting a ‘high tea’ for my bridesmaids’ before I move to the country. I will try and get some time to do proper posts, but in the mean time I hope you enjoy

Our online store will be up and running in only a few weeks time! You will be able to buy our entire range of children’s wear, homewares, stationery and accessories. Made all carefully by hand using Liberty of London fabrics and other beautiful cottons. I’m very very excited and this weekend will be another weekend of sewing and designing. Stay tuned

Here is a little baby brunch invite I did for a friend. An invite that was ‘generic’ not to give away the gender of the baby. I think I have the perfect gift as well – elki Liberty of London bloomers and night shirt!

Hoorah hoorah – our website elki is finally up and running! its very exciting, after many hours of html nightmares, everything is looking a-ok. Our online store will be up within the next month (just a few more tweaks to the design). So just a few more weeks and then everyone can buy, buy, buy!

Over the past week, I’ve come across so many examples of people using Liberty of London fabrics again. The soft and feminine prints are popping up everywhere – maybe its the nostalgia of the prints that help us create our little own pretty haven from the rest of the world? I’ve just picked out a few images, but if you see any more images – email me, I would love to see them.

Very cute bikini from Jcrew – I just LOVE this site, if only they shipped to Australia. Please excuse the revoltingly gorgeous body at this time of the morning – it doesn’t help when I’m sitting here with a coffee and croissant!

After getting a little distracted from organising my wedding (and also being a bridesmaid to one of my friends), and many months of deliberation on fabric choices and patterns, the sewing and production is in full swing. We’re in the process of taking photos of all of our products at the moment. After a few set backs of our digi camera dying and saving up for a new one, and finding time between sunlight and full time work, is drawing out the timeline. Our products include feather filled cushions, linen tea towels, linen napkins with embroidered borders, children’s tradtional bloomers, little girls summer pin-tuck dresses, baby muslin wraps with verying bias binding, baby singlets with embroidery, old-fashioned money purses, and more. So sit tight!

Liberty of London

We were children of the 80’s, who grew up with a mum whom loved nothing more than making our children’s clothes and dressing us up, especial Liberty. Mum’s parents came out from England and India in the early 50’s, and they’ve stayed strong to their heritage, instilling these to mum. Even if that meant, wearing their kilts in Brisbane summer weather to our speech days, or introducing us to tea at the age of 3, and dressing us in head to toe of Liberty fabric! I’m sure many of you have heard of Liberty of London fabrics, and with that recognition you may ‘cringe’ a little. If you were like us, dressed from head to toe in Liberty, you will never want to go near it again.

So, I ask you to take another look at Liberty. If you’re like me and haven’t seen them since the 80’s, have a look at their website. http://www.liberty.co.uk They’re producing some stunning modern fabrics and products – nothing of which resembles the floral mess on mass! They’re still printing the classics, and its our aim to mix these recognisable classics with new fabrics, and use them in ways that will NOT make you cringe (hopefully)! So we won’t bring back the blue eyeshadow or the big hair, but instead bring a little bit of our childhood into the modern world. (mum still has all of our Liberty dresses in her wardrobe!). These were just some of the Liberty products that caught my eye…
